PRESCHOOL EDUCATION MA PROGRAM
Academic Unit: Primary Education
Program Objectives: The aim of this program is to develop early childhood education in Turkey and around the world and to train teachers who can implement creative, innovative and effective methods that can increase the quality of preschool education. In this respect, we support our students to increase their knowledge on preschool education and carry out the MA program to train the future academicians.

In-Field Quotas |
Preschool Education, Child Development, Child Development Education programs should apply to in-field quotas. |
|
Out-of-Field Quotas |
Primary School Education, Social Work, Home Economics, Psychology, Psychological Counseling and Guidance, Physical Education, Sports, Arts, Library Science, Foreign Languages, Computer Science, Educational Studies in Mathematics and Science, Business Administration, Law, Political Science, Sociology, Nutrition and Dietetics and Nursing programs should apply to out-of-field applicant quotas. |
Graduation Requirements:
In order to graduate from the program, students are required;
- to take at least 7 courses (21 local credits/ 120 ECTS), two of which are required by the department
- to pass the “Seminar” and “Research Methods and Scientific Ethics” courses,
- to pass all courses with at least CB grade and have at least 2.50/4.0 GPA,
- to comply with the publication requirement,
- to register to “Lecture on Specialized Field” and “MA Thesis” courses in order to write a thesis, after completing the required number of credits,
- to pass the MA thesis defense successfully.
Publication Requirement: MA students are required to meet at least one of the following requirements which has to be related to their thesis and done in cooperation with their thesis supervisor(s):
- An oral/ poster presentation at a national/ international refereed academic congress
- An academic article published or accepted for publication at a national/ international refereed academic journal
